Joe Cleary and Bill Josem formed the law firm of Cleary & Josem LLP in 1991 to exclusively represent labor unions, union-affiliated benefit funds and union members who have suffered work-related or other injuries or disabilities.
Cleary & Josem LLP represents unions and their members in a broad sector of industries, ranging from construction and mechanical trades to trucking, manufacturing, hospitality and the public sector. Our clients are primarily based in a four-state area that includes Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Delaware, and we counsel them on various state and federal issues, including representing them in both state and federal courts. We also represent our clients before various administrative agencies, in labor arbitration proceedings and mediations, and in contract negotiations.
In addition to our union representation, we have extensive experience advising, counseling and representing numerous Taft-Hartley welfare and pension funds along with, annuity, apprentice and vacation funds.
Finally, and just as importantly, we also represent working people who suffer from work-related and other injuries or who suffer disabilities that prevent them from working. We have participated in many landmark settlements for these workers which have enabled the severely injured to regain some dignity and quality of life.
